About The Rocker Memorial Skatepark Project

The group behind the Rocker Memorial Skatepark came together in a grassroots effort to construct a new, state-of-the-art 25,000 foot skatepark in Truckee, California. We overcame our largest hurdle to-date in 2015 when the Truckee Donner Recreation & Park District approved our plan and granted use of the land on the corner of Estates Drive and Brockway Road adjacent to the existing skatepark. We are now openly fundraising and moving forward with our project. We look forward to your involvement and support!

History

Rocker Memorial SkateparkOver 10 years ago, a group of local skateboarders saw the need for a larger and more accommodating skatepark for the growing number of skaters in the Truckee/Tahoe region. Crowds, lack of beginner and advanced features as well as the shortage of other skateparks nearby motivated us group to work together to change this.

How It Works

Rocker Memorial SkateparkTo complete a world class skatepark we are working with a world class builder, Wormhoudt Inc., While our total fundraising is $500,000, we can begin the initial phase of construction when we reach $125,000.

Community

Rocker Memorial SkateparkMemorial skatepark projects represent a bigger picture. They encourage consistent interaction and involvement with our friends and neighbors; throughout the fundraising, construction and beyond. Let’s keep the momentum and good times rolling.

Rocker Memorial Skatepark is a community project and will be made possible by all of our combined efforts. Big victories are made by the contributions of many people. Together we can do this. Thank you for your support.
